What a decision record should let you answer, months later.

Approve, Stop, Reduce, Ask: what each answer means.

Approve. The move is inside what your institution allowed, so it goes ahead.

Stop. The move is not allowed. That exact move is finished. If your limits change later and the AI still wants to proceed, it proposes a new move.

Reduce. The move isn't allowed as asked, but a smaller version is already permitted. If an agent asks for $25,000 and the limit is $10,000, $10,000 goes out.

Ask. The rules can't settle it, so a person answers. Until they do, nothing happens. Silence is never approval, and it doesn't quietly turn into a Stop.

Four answers keep each move understandable to the person who signs off and to the person who reviews it later.
